Meet the Not Another Eye Store Family!
Let’s be honest… Staff bios are usually all the same. We could tell you where we went to school, how many years we’ve been doing this, and what we enjoy in our spare time.
But this is Inglewood – we know you’d rather meet the four-legged members of the Not Another Eye Store family first. Get to know our team through the eyes of our furbabies and, if you’re lucky, you might just meet them during your next visit.
NYLA - Head of Sales
Hi, I’m Nyla! I’m an 11-year-old Mini Poodle and I’m the Head of Sales around here because I can sniff out a good deal. I’m a cuddly little diva with just the right amount of sass. I love people, I love attention, and if there’s a lap nearby, there’s a very good chance I’ll claim it as my own. Other dogs? They’re a little overrated, if you ask me.
My mom is the one who keeps this place running. She keeps the snack stash stocked, checks in on everyone, and somehow keeps the bossman on task.
I hear her tell people all the time that glasses are an investment. She wants everyone to find frames they love at a price they feel good about. That sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
As long as I get to stay close to my mom, I’m happy. She takes care of everyone else, and I take care of keeping her company.
ROVER - Supervisor of Outdoor Recreation
Hi, I’m Rover! I’m a 4-year-old Husky and the Supervisor of Outdoor Recreation. If there’s snow, mud, a hiking trail, or a suspicious-looking squirrel, I expect to be involved. Staying inside? Absolutely not.
Apparently I’m “opinionated” and “dramatic.” I like to sing the song of my people whenever I feel it adds to the conversation. My humans don’t seem to agree.
My mom and dad are both optometrists. They met at the University of Waterloo and have been helping people take care of their eyes ever since. I mostly keep them focused on the really important things… like getting outdoors. They think they’re taking me on a hike. I let them believe that. It’s good for their confidence.
My mom and dad help people see the world. I make sure they get outside and ENJOY IT.
MAGGIE - Head of Security
Hi, I’m Maggie! I’m a 12 year old Pug/Boston mix and a proud rescue from AARCS. I’ve got one snaggle tooth and a face some call “derpy.” I prefer “distinguished.”
I am the Head of Security here – that includes foot traffic monitoring, advanced vibe checks, and top-tier snack surveillance. If you walk by with food, I know. If you open a wrapper, I definitely know. (I also work as an eyewear model. With a face like this, it would be irresponsible not to.)
My mom is the licensed optician here and has 21 years of experience helping humans see better. She even has some awards and stuff. I don’t really understand prescriptions, but I know she’s good at what she does.
We’re a great team. She helps you see better—I keep an eye on everything else.
