What Are Transition Eyeglasses?

Transitions are photochromic lenses that automatically adjust when exposed to sunlight and UV light. These lenses:

• Darken outdoors like sunglasses
• Return to clear indoors 
• Respond to UV exposure and temperature
• Block 100% UVA and UVB rays
• Filter blue violet light for added comfort

Transitions Gen S – Faster, Smarter, Better

Transitions Gen S was launched in 2024 and replaced the Gen 8 series after being redesigned based on customer feedback.  The Gen S series is ultra-responsive, darkening in seconds and fading back to clear faster than ever. 

Since launching Gen S, the feedback from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive. People notice the difference right away—and love the new colors! (Now available in 8 exclusive colors) 

Available in All Prescription Types

• Transition lenses are available in single vision glasses,
  progressive lenses, and
  bifocal lens glasses.
• Already have a frame you love? We can
  replace the lenses in your old frames
  with transitional lenses.
• Transitional lenses already include some
  blue light filtering is built in.
• Prefer full sunglasses over UV-reactive lenses? We also offer
  prescription sunglasses.
• Safety glasses can be made with transitional lenses too.

Do I need to come in person?

Yes. Your prescription is only as good as your fit.

If your measurements are off then you’re high quality premium lenses are just as good as the poor quality ones.

What if I can’t adapt?

We’ll remake the lenses within 90 days—free.  Typically adaptation periods for progressive lenses are 2 to 4 weeks. Varies between every wearer.
